Such fabulous transformation of common images ---wood slats of a sculpture---into personal vision: geometric, transcendant and haunting.

Carol, I can always sense what's going on in your work beyond the eye and into imagining. Thank you for the offerings on this site that share your spirit , and lift mine, with each visit.........

This is an unusual/interesting process.....coffee to process negatives?
Love the blurriness of this image as it slowly reveals itself.

Since I am the phantom-like character appearing in and out of Carol's text, a natural bias inhabits my response here. But....these are images that go far in evoking Meadowcroft's serenity and mystery. That, and the wine in Barney's shack, being the main reason it is often my walking destination.
The text, well marbled with sensory and technological references, seems to capture what really draws me to this place; the modern world surrounds but doesn't encroach upon, Meadowcroft's old world ambiance.

I am so touched -moved by your account of simple kindnesses and gestures that give us a glimpse at the loving and selfless person you are! I could "listen" for hours and hope to learn more about this incredible woman and her life, and the hands that have " absorbed" so much!

How wonderful to be celebrating your 90th birthday!
XO - Leen (Jane's friend)
